Knights Family News 10/8

Dear Kendall Families,

As we wrap up the first nine weeks of school, we are so proud of all that our students have accomplished! This week, our kindergarten students enjoyed a hands-on learning experience at the Ag Barn, where they had the opportunity to learn about animals, explore, and make connections to what they’ve been learning in the classroom. It has been wonderful to see our students grow, learn, and build confidence throughout these first nine weeks.

Now it’s time for a well-deserved break! There will be no school October 9–13 as we enjoy Fall Break. We hope our Kendall families take this time to rest, recharge, spend time together, and enjoy a little fall fun. Our teachers and staff are looking forward to a chance to recharge as well!

When we return, we’ll be heading into a busy and exciting season at Kendall! We have so many fun learning experiences and traditions ahead, including our Trunk or Treat, Book Character Parade, and more. We’re also excited to welcome the Boerne Fire Department during Camp next Wednesday for a special visit that will bring learning to life for our students.

We can’t wait to welcome our Knights back rested, refreshed, and ready for all that’s ahead! Thank you for continuing to partner with us and for making this such a wonderful first nine weeks. We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and fun-filled Fall Break!

Dr. Craft stopped by Kendall this week to present the school with an award to recognize all the hard work our teachers and staff have done to gain Kendall Elementary 4 distinctions! 

Dr. Craft also dropped by Mrs. Andrzejewski's Library to gift supplies for Quilt Club! 

 

 

Happy Fall Break!  

It has been a great 1st 9 weeks at Kendall!  Your students have been working hard, being responsible leaders, and learning new things!  I hope you have a wonderful fall break with your family and we will be excited to welcome you back on Wednesday, October 14. 

Our 2nd nine-week Character Education trait is "Caring".  Caring can be defined as "showing kindness and concern for others." 

Here are some ways we can model caring behavior at home: 

Red Ribbon Week will be October 26-30, 2026, and we will be focusing on "Healthy Choices."  Our dress up days are listed below!

At Kendall Elementary, connection and belonging are important values. With that in mind, we hope all students are able to participate in our FUN-draisers. If you would like to sponsor a student to help them have equal access, it would be greatly appreciated. Your sponsorship pays for one (1) of our Chickfila, Cane's, or Las Palapas lunch fundraisers for a student this school year.
